Designing a restaurant in Warsaw - a project.
A successful restaurant is a coexistence of delicious cuisine, professional and friendly service, and a good interior design. The lack of any of these three components can undermine even the best-located investment. As designers, we have no influence over the kitchen or the staff. However, we have an impact on how the interior of the premises may look.
Interior design of restaurants cannot be an art for art’s sake. Regardless of whether the premises are in the center of Warsaw or in the heart of the Bieszczady Mountains, the interior should blend in with the surroundings and, above all, match the type of cuisine. We go to restaurants primarily to eat delicious food and spend a pleasant time. The interior should not interfere with this. It should not be too intrusive, distracting attention from the most important thing – culinary experiences. A good restaurant interior is one in which we feel comfortable and safe.
Restaurant design - Warsaw, Krakow, and beyond.
In the design studio Tarnowski Division, we have implemented various projects of restaurants, cafes and pubs – Warsaw, Krakow, Zakopane… In Warsaw, for Agnieszka and Marcin Kręglicki, we designed the Italian restaurant Chianti and the Greek restaurant Santorini. In Krakow, at Plac Szczepański, for Scandale Group, we designed the Scandale Royale restaurant. In Zakopane, at the Aries hotel, we created the Cocktail Bar and Music Loft Club. We have executed the restaurant designs of all Street network locations in Warsaw. We designed the restaurant ‘La Rotisserie’, buffets, and a bar for the 5-star Mamaison Le Regina hotel in Warsaw, as well as Hop-House for the Hilton hotel in Prague. The Pam-Pam restaurant in Warsaw, Różana in Konstancin, Osteria with fish and seafood, Papaya, and Tai Me Up with oriental cuisine are our restaurant projects from recent years. The ‘Czytelnia’ cafe in Warsaw and the ‘Lokalna’ cafe in Mielno are also our ‘children’.
Designing a restaurant can be surprising. Sometimes we get unusual orders. One of such implementations is the food truck – Scandalicznie Dobry Burger, for which we have designed the entire graphic setting. Whether it is a large restaurant project in Warsaw or an ice cream parlor project in Mielno, we always combine unique design with functionality and the specifics of the chosen cuisine. We strive to maintain a balance between aesthetics, usability, and budget. We can modestly say that designing restaurants, cafes, and pubs is our specialty.
We collaborate with industry designers who support us in the design process. We supplement our interior design projects with necessary industry designs/electric, water-sewage, ventilation-climate, kitchen technology/ along with necessary opinions from experts/Sanitary-Epidemiological Station, OSH, Fire Protection/.

Professional restaurant interior design
Designing a restaurant is just the beginning. Life writes various stories afterward. Here’s an anecdote that happened in Warsaw.
Steven Seagal, Angela Merkel, Sting, Mrs. Zosia from Klonowa…everyone needs to eat. And preferably deliciously and healthily. Różana restaurant in Warsaw, Chocimska street, is the place for that. Even His Holiness the Dalai Lama visited Różana. A very nice person – many years have passed since the visit of the esteemed guest, but the staff still remembers him with a smile. What could the Dalai Lama eat? Well, the Dalai Lama tasted Polish specialties – including delicious pork cutlets. A vegetarian? Well… try the Różana cutlets yourself to see how they taste. Of course, after the meal, he brushed his teeth with his trusty toothbrush. With the toothbrush in his hand and a smile on his face, he mingled with other guests, asking if they also enjoyed their meal. He caused consternation with his wonderful directness. That’s the story…
