postcards from Bologna

October 4, 2013

Although after the Cersaie fair, my legs were suitable for amputation (why do I always forget to bring sneakers?) we could not resist the charms of the streets of this beautiful Italian city. Bologna is calling! Its streets are filled with people even in the middle of the night. There are lines to the cafés and restaurants. Mamma behind the counter is conducting traffic. Dinner in the company of Virgin Mary, Padre Pio, and Sylvester Stallone – unforgettable. Exhibitions and happenings in beautiful Renaissance palaces. Thousands of students in the Verdi Square. Half a million scooter riders. And 28 degrees C. I don’t want to go back home.
