Lengyel, Magyar – két jó barát, együtt harcol, s issza borát. (Eng. Pole and Hungarian cousins be). We might add the passion for art deco.

Patinas Lighting is a Hungarian manufacturer which produces stylish lighting. For several years, promoting themselves on the prestigious lighting fairs where I had the pleasure to personally meet the owner Csaba Karolyi and his right hand, the extremely sweet Milica Skipina. Because of my interest, of course, I was mostly seduced by the art deco and art nouveau lamps. Really, there are very few companies and very few artisans who can bring back the spirit of those years… Patinas is in this inner circle.

Patinas has been making lamps by hand in Budapest for 25 years. For the manufacture of lamps the company uses only pure brass, no iron or aluminum. Brass is polished, aged or nickel plated. The glass is polished by hand. Frames are made of a strong porcelain, not of plastic, but the wires are double-insulated, therefore they are fireproof and resistant to short circuits. All parts used are original and come from Hungary or Germany. Therefore, Patinas lighting is covered by a ten-year guarantee, and in the case of glass replacement or spare parts – the same guarantee as given by the manufacturer.

References to the Hungarian company span from bars in Ireland, through the brasserie in France, German hotels, Swedish restaurants to the palaces in the Kremlin . I am sure that the right place for these beautiful lamps can be found in Poland as well. I am pleased to announce that Patinas products are available in our offer. Check them out!
