La Sagrada Familia from the inside

May 29, 2015

It has happened! Ryanair cancelled the flight from Milan to Warsaw and we flew to Barcelona

We though to ourselves that all’s well that ends well… And we spent one long night at the airport in Bergamo and a very intense day in Spain. We felt like the participants of the Rally de Catalunya. The only breather was a visit to the La Sagrada Familia. Many people rave about the architecture of the unfinished church. I understand that perfectly. But what impresses me most is the interior. As a rule, one enters the cathedral on their knees, in a God-fearing mood. Antonio Gaudi – a genius – had a completely different opinion on this topic. The space, light and optimism filling the interior of the cathedral makes me feel good and I want to stay here as long as possible. This church is filled with positive energy. In La Sagrada Familia I feel that God is ‘cool’, looking at us from above and smiling. Szymon Tarnowski
