iSaloni in the open air

May 7, 2015

To say that the Salone del Mobile is the most important furniture exhibition of the year is like to call Conchita Wurst a woman. That’s only half true.

Because iSaloni commands the style of every sphere of our sybaritic life. Each year, in the first half of April, Milan becomes alive with the fair in almost every corner of the city. At the fairgrounds, city squares, in dozens of galleries, Renaissance palaces, on the roof of the cathedral and in numerous museums – usually free to visit. While the fair in Rho kindled our emotions no more than a cup of cold milk, the outdoor exhibitions gave our senses much more pleasure. Especially in the company of a bottle of good Valpoicella, which it is not fitting to drink at the fair drink, but in the outdoors …. pure pleasure.

In the classical interiors, contemporary art looks intriguing even when it is not carrying anything revealing.

Armchairs and chairs look great in a historical interiors. Dear parish priests – replace the coarse and creaky pews with artistic chairs. It will be prettier, more comfortable and more cheerful. And perhaps you will help young artists like your wise brothers have done ages ago.

And on the roof of the Duomo, instead of pigeons, spatial forms have found a nest this year.
